My Approach
At Neuro by Nature, my approach is rooted in my diverse background as a Neuroscientist, Biologist, Professor, Artist, and Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. Guided by research and inspired by nature’s wisdom, I create a framework that is both structured and open to personal exploration.
I am deeply committed to ensuring that our programs do not direct participants toward predetermined experiences. Instead, each program is carefully and artfully designed to inspire authentic self-expression and facilitate meaningful connections—with nature, with oneself, and with others. This approach honors the unique journey of each individual while fostering a shared sense of belonging to the natural world.

About me
I’m Karina Del Punta, Ph.D., a neuroscientist, artist, and certified Nature and Forest Therapy (Forest Bathing) guide. My curiosity about the natural world has shaped my work and life. As a scientist, I have studied the molecular mechanisms behind sensory perception and behavior. As an artist, I aim to express what cannot be captured in words. As a Forest Bathing guide, I create opportunities for others to experience the healing and deep connection that come from being present with nature.
I hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Neuroscience from The Rockefeller University, where I also served as a Research Professor, and a B.S./M.S. in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires. My research has been published in journals like Nature and has earned prestigious honors. I am also a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) and have completed advanced studies in ecopsychology and depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Additionally, I serve on the Advisory Board of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, where I help bridge scientific understanding and nature’s wisdom to inspire meaningful connections.

“I got a glimpse of what harmony, peace, belonging, and oneness with nature is without the usual day-to-day flight-or-fight responses. It was like like the regular warm and fuzzy feeling of love, but on a higher level of magnitude. It was like love on steroids! But without needing to ingest anything or joining a monastery in Tibet.”
Eduardo
